As parents ourselves, we understand that the pram fold is one of the most important features of all and that's why all Redsbaby prams are designed with unique and market-leading folds.

From our NUVO, which folds with both seats attached, to our ONIX and AERON, which both feature a one-hand, one-second standing fold, and the super compact fold on our SKIP² stroller, you'll be on your way in moments.

It's hot out?
Our NUVO, ONIX, and AERON all feature unparalleled mesh panels on their seat backs, canopies, and bassinets, providing breathability for your baby on warm days.

Pram and Stroller FAQs

A pram bassinet allows your baby to lie completely flat in a safe, snug environment, which is perfect for your newborn’s developing spine. It is recommended that a bassinet is used for newborns up until the age of 6 months old, or when they can roll over or sit up unaided, whichever comes first.

Pram bassinets click in and out of your pram frame, allowing you to transfer your baby indoors while leaving your pram frame outside making a pram bassinet ideal for visiting friends, returning home from walks and supporting undisturbed sleep.

All Redsbaby prams have a compatible bassinet. Our AERON and ONIX prams have an optional bassinet (COSY Bassinet) which can be purchased at the same time as your pram or later, while our NUVO pram has a bassinet included at purchase.

When using a Redsbaby pram, you have two options for your newborn. You can either use the seat in the fully reclined position with the 5-point harness or a compatible pram bassinet.

Both options allow your baby to lie flat, crucial for spinal development, especially for newborns. Choosing the right option depends on your needs and preferences.

A bassinet can be detached from the pram frame and placed on the ground. It is larger, providing more space and allowing you to place your baby directly in the bassinet without the need for a harness. Redsbaby bassinets also fold flat for convenient storage. Generally, bassinets offer more comfort as they do not require the use of a harness.

The lay-flat seat is suitable if you prefer your baby to be secured in the 5-point harness and use the seat fully reclined. There are generally two types of lay-flat seats; those that have a completely flat backrest like our AERON and ONIX prams, or those that have a shaped back like our NUVO pram. Both are suitable for newborns, although those that recline to have a completely flat backrest are recommended over those with a shaped back, as they allow your newborn to lie completely flat. The benefits of not using a bassinet include cost savings and less storage requirement, as you won't need to store the bassinet after use.

While both options are safe, we recommend using a bassinet, especially if you use your pram daily as a bassinet provides the optimal environment for your newborn.

All Redsbaby prams have a compatible bassinet. Our AERON and ONIX prams have an optional bassinet (COSY Bassinet) which can be purchased at the same time as your pram or later, while our NUVO pram has a bassinet included at purchase.

Understanding the difference between a pram and a stroller is important as each caters to different lifestyles and needs.

A pram is designed specifically for newborns and infants up to four years old. They allow babies to lie flat when the seat is fully reclined or have a pram bassinet that can be used with the pram frame. Prams often offer more functionality, including a reversible seat, larger canopies, and baskets. With their focus on providing maximum comfort during walks, prams are typically larger and heavier than strollers.

In contrast, a stroller, sometimes also called a buggy, is used for older babies and toddlers who can sit up. Although some strollers, including the Redsbaby SKIP stroller, are suitable for newborns with a lay-flat seat, they generally feature forward-facing seats only. Strollers focus on being ultra-compact, lightweight, and simple. Many are designed for travel, fitting in overhead compartments on planes.

Prams are sometimes categorised as strollers when sold without a bassinet. At Redsbaby, our AERON , ONIX and NUVO are referred to as prams (when used with their bassinets), while the SKIP is referred to as a stroller.

Prams are ideal for newborns and offer more features for comfort and versatility, whereas strollers are perfect for older babies and toddlers, emphasizing portability and simplicity. Choosing the right one depends on your child's age and your specific needs.

Determining whether you need a baby capsule or not depends on your lifestyle and preferences.

A baby capsule (also called an infant carrier) can be used for up to 12 months, depending on the model, and is used in a rearward-facing position in your vehicle. It can be easily removed from your car and attached to your pram (if compatible). Once your baby outgrows the capsule, you will place them in a baby car seat.

Without a baby capsule, you can still use a baby car seat that is suitable for newborns. However, baby car seats are permanently fixed in the car and typically larger, lasting up to 4 years depending on the model. Baby car seats cannot be used with prams.

Choosing to purchase a baby capsule depends on your lifestyle and preferences. Many parents appreciate the convenience and simplicity of using a capsule with their pram, especially if planning multiple children. A baby capsule can be a worthwhile investment for future use.

All Redsbaby prams (AERON , ONIX and NUVO) are compatible with baby capsules. We recommend you check each model using our compatibility chart.

A pram travel system is the combination of a pram and a compatible baby capsule that allows you to secure the baby capsule to your pram using adaptors and then move the baby capsule between your car and pram seamlessly. Without a compatible baby capsule and adaptors, you cannot move your baby capsule between your car and pram.

Using a baby capsule with your pram is ideal for busy parents and parents that are often travelling by car with their baby and want to transition their baby between car and pram with ease and without disturbing them. It supports your baby's safety with features like secure harness systems and ergonomic designs tailored for their early development stages.

It is recommended that you do not leave your baby sleeping in the capsule for longer than 2 hours, and check on them regularly. For longer sleep periods, a bassinet is recommended as it provides a flat sleep surface.

All Redsbaby prams have a compatible bassinet. Our AERON and ONIX prams have an optional bassinet (COSY Bassinet) which can be purchased at the same time as your pram or later, while our NUVO pram has a bassinet included at purchase.

A travel stroller is a lightweight, compact stroller designed for families on the go. Perfect for holidays, day trips, and quick errands, travel strollers are easy to fold, often fitting into overhead compartments on aeroplanes.

Despite their small size, they offer essential features such as a reclining seat, canopy, and storage basket. Some models, like our Redsbaby SKIP² Stroller, are suitable for newborns with a lay-flat seat.

Travel strollers prioritise convenience, portability, and ease of use, making them an excellent choice for parents seeking hassle-free travel with their young family.

Our Redsbaby SKIP² Stroller is ultra-compact and lightweight and when placed in its included carrybag, can be placed in the overhead compartment of the aeroplane.

The size of a pram’s wheels is determined by the lifestyle and use that the pram is designed for, with different wheels sizes making a big difference on performance and usability.

Larger wheels, for example those found on our NUVO (full-size single to double pram), JIVE (compact single to double pram) and ONIX (full-size single pram), enhance manoeuvrability by rolling smoothly over uneven surfaces like gravel or grass. They also provide better stability and absorb bumps more effectively, ensuring a comfortable ride for your baby.

In contrast, smaller wheels as found on our AERON (urban pram) and SKIP (travel stroller) are more suited for smooth surfaces such as pavement, offering increased portability and compactness.

The choice of wheel size affects how well your pram handles different terrains and influences overall comfort during longer walks or outings. When selecting a pram, consider the wheel size that aligns best with your lifestyle and the environments you frequent.

Choosing between a double pram and a single pram depends on your family's needs and future plans.

A single pram, like our ONIX and AERON, is ideal if you have one child or plan to have your children spaced several years apart. Single prams are lighter, more compact, and easier to manoeuvre. Most single prams can use a compatible buggyboard which allow an older toddler to stand on the back of the pram.

A double pram like our NUVO is beneficial if you have one child and want the flexibility to carry another child in the future (especially if you plan on having children close in age). If you already have one child and are expecting your second, a double pram can accommodate two children in seats (or seat + bassinet / bassinet + bassinet) simultaneously, providing convenience for parents managing multiple younger children.

Consider your current family size, future family plans, and daily routines to decide which option suits you best.

Yes. All Redsbaby prams (AERON , ONIX and NUVO) are baby capsule compatible with leading baby capsule manufacturers including Britax, Nuna, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi and more. We recommend you check each model using our compatibility chart.

Our SKIP² Stroller is not baby capsule compatible.

Your experience with a baby capsule and Redsbaby pram is as important as any other feature. If you choose to use a baby capsule, you’ll use it frequently in the first 6-12 months of your baby’s life, so it’s crucial to select an easy-to-use baby capsule.

There's nothing more important than the safety of your little one, which is why we rigorously test all our prams and strollers to meet and exceed the most stringent global safety standards.

We test to both voluntary and mandatory standards, as well as international standards, to ensure the safety and reliability of our products. Our prams are tested and designed to comply with the latest Australian Pram and Stroller Safety Standards (CPN No.8 of 2007 and AS 2088:2022) and the European Wheeled Child Conveyances – Pushchairs and Prams (EN 1888) and Carrycots and Stands (EN 1466).

When you choose Redsbaby, you can rest assured that all our products comply with strict safety standards for materials, construction, and performance.

The head barrier is a requirement for the Australian Pram & Stroller safety standards which requires a specific design to pass the standards. The intended purpose of this head barrier is to minimise the risk of a child sliding out the top of the seat when the seat is fully reclined should the harness not be fitted correctly.

You will find the head barrier on all Redsbaby prams and strollers sold in Australia.

All prams sold in Australia require a tether strap as part of the mandatory safety standard. When you are walking with your pram, it is advised that you have the strap attached to your wrist at all times, especially on a slope or near roads and on stations to ensure you don't accidentally lose hold of the pram.

In terms of the location, to comply with the standards it needs to be positioned on the handle so it can be looped around the wrist.
