The ONIX is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a full-sized, all-terrain single pram that offers comfort for both parent and child. It lasts all stages and ages, being suitable for newborns with its optional bassinet, newborn pod or seat when used in the fully reclined position and can be used up to 4 years with its spacious 22kg seat.

The ONIX features an innovative one-second, one-hand fold parent or world-facing, providing convenience and ease and handles all surfaces with its all-terrain, puncture-proof wheels with four-wheel suspension.

Designed for all seasons, enjoy the ONIX’s large mesh panel on the seat back, large breathable panels on the seat and optional bassinet, and an extra-large UPF50+ seat canopy. The seat recline, footrest and handlebar also feature single-hand functionality for easy adjustments while on the move.

Yes. The ONIX Pram is suitable to use for newborns.

We recommend you use the COSY Bassinet or Newborn Pod to provide additional support for your newborn, which can be purchased together with your ONIX Pram with a saving or purchased separately in the future.

Both the COSY Bassinet and Newborn Pod adhere to recommendations from baby sleep experts, which advise that newborns should sleep on a flat surface while their spine and neck muscles develop, and in a space with adequate airflow.

Alternatively, you can use the seat in the fully reclined position with the seat harness for your newborn.

Both the COSY Bassinet and Newborn Pod offer a comfortable and safe space for your newborn baby for up to 6 months.

The Newborn Pod is the ideal choice if you prefer a lightweight and compact design. It utilises the 5-point safety harness to secure your baby and sits snuggly on top of the seat when fully reclined.

The COSY Bassinet is perfect for those who prefer a design with rigid sides that can be detached from the pram frame and placed on the ground (free-standing). The COSY Bassinet is also larger, providing more space for your baby and allowing you to place your baby directly in the bassinet without the need for the seat harness. Additionally, the bassinet can be folded flat for convenient storage.

Yes. The ONIX is compatible with a range of baby capsules including Britax (Redsbaby B-pod by Britax*, B-pod and B-pod Lite) and capsules that use the Maxi-Cosi connection point.

You will need to purchase the ONIX Capsule Adaptors (sold separately) to use your ONIX Pram with compatible capsules.

* Recommended capsule to use with the Redsbaby ONIX due to its excellent fit and single-hand functionality.

We highly recommend the Redsbaby B-pod by Britax with all Redsbaby prams, including the ONIX.

The Redsbaby B-pod by Britax offers a superior fit due to its connection points that seamlessly match Redsbaby prams. This design allows the capsule to effortlessly slide onto and connect with the capsule adaptors.

No. The ONIX pram cannot be taken on board as carry-on luggage. However, it can be checked in as part of your under-carriage luggage.

If you are looking for a pram to take travelling (locally or abroad) we recommend our SKIP² Stroller, which can be taken on board* as carry-on. Our AERON Pram is also an excellent option for travelling with its compact and lightweight design that has all the features of a larger pram in a smaller size (including reversible seat, large basket and extra-large canopy). The AERON Pram still needs to be checked in.

*Always check with your carrier before travel.

The ONIX has been designed as a full-sized single pram, balancing comfort, functionality and performance with a lightweight frame. With its unique standing fold, the ONIX can be picked up easily with two hands to place into your boot. It folds with its seat both world and parent-facing, allowing for more space.

We recommend you check the below measurements:

• Folded with seat (parent-facing): H 73cm x W 60cm x L 34cm
• Folded with seat (world-facing): H 73cm x W 60cm x L 43cm

For the most compact fold, we recommend folding in parent-facing mode.

The ONIX can carry a second child on the Bumprider Original Toddler Board. This is a universal accessory sold via baby retailers and only and is not sold by Redsbaby. The Bumprider Original Toddler Board has been tested for fit on the Redsbaby ONIX Pram only.

Currently, the ONIX is not compatible with our Redsbaby Buggyboard.

While both prams feature unique and market-leading functionality, the main difference between the two is that the ONIX is a full-size, all-terrain single pram while the AERON is an agile, compact urban pram.

With its all-terrain functionality, the ONIX has larger front and rear wheels and suspension designed to handle rougher surfaces. Being a full-size pram, it also has a larger seat to carry taller children, a large 10kg capacity basket and footrest. The AERON has an easy-access 8kg basket and adjustable canopy height to accommodate taller children as they grow. The AERON has smaller front and rear wheels designed for urban adventures.

Both the ONIX and AERON feature an innovative, one-hand fold in parent or world-facing positions, providing maximum convenience and ease. Designed for all-seasons comfort, the ONIX and AERON both feature a large mesh panel on the back panel of their seats, with seat pad included and an extra-large sun canopy with mesh panels. Both prams are suitable for newborns when used with the optional COSY Bassinet or Newborn Pod. Alternatively, both prams can use their seats in the fully reclined position with the seat harness for your newborn.

Step 1:
Remove the bassinet or capsule from the pram, ensuring you leave the bassinet or capsule adaptors attached to the pram frame.

Step 2:
Stand at the front of the pram and locate the two levers on each adaptor and push downward to activate the fold. You can press both levers at the same time or press one at a time.

Step 3 (optional):
For a more compact fold (when using the capsule), remove the adaptors from the frame once the frame is folded.

Yes. The ONIX seat must be attached to the frame to activate the fold. The seat can be attached either parent or world-facing to fold.

To fold, locate the latch at the top of the seat back, slide the frame fold latch left or right, and pull the seat recline upwards.

No. The Redsbaby Bassinet Stand is not compatible with the ONIX Bassinet due to the connection point being incompatible. Only the JIVE and METRO are compatible with the Bassinet Stand.

Note: Accessories with either ‘AERON’, ‘JIVE/ METRO’, ‘SKIP’ or ‘NUVO’ in their product name are not compatible with the ONIX Pram.

For the most compact fold, we recommend folding the ONIX with the seat parent-facing.

Occasionally when folding, the wheels may come into contact with the frame and stop the fold before it locks into place. Simply pick up the pram using the handle and click into its folded position.

Yes, the Redsbaby Cup Holder is compatible with the ONIX.

Yes, the seat pad comes included with the ONIX pram. It is reversible and can be removed to expose the full mesh seat back.

No. The seat pad does not need to be removed to fold the ONIX.

We’re proud that the ONIX packaging is over 95% plastic free. Since 2020, we started transitioning our product packaging to be plastic free wherever possible so far saving over 300,000 poly bags from landfill. For our generation and yours to come.

Additional care instructions
Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning products or products that contain alcohol, as this may cause stains, discolouration and damage, particularly to the leatherette parts of your pram.
